Hi, my name is Dylan Zabel and I am a student at Lake Area Technical Institute. I am in my second year at LATI but in my first year of Marketing/Management. I was born August 31, 1999 in Aberdeen, South Dakota to Duane and Rose Ann Zabel and raised on my family’s farm located near Selby, South Dakota. I attended Selby Area High School and was a 2018 graduate. Growing up I was exposed to dirt track racing at a very young age beings my father raced and I fell in love with it. I myself am currently a race car driver and entering my fifth season (second in a Wissota Modified). Not only did my dad race but I also had an uncle on my mom’s side and three cousins as well. Currently, I have a little brother that races and one of my sisters is engaged to race car driver so you could say racing runs deep in my family.
